| Last week's sermon -
Quitting |
-
Issues: Facing Life’s Struggles with Victory is the new sermon series
from 2 Corinthians.
This is Paul’s most autobiographical letter. He really opens his heart and shares some of the ISSUES he faced,
and he faced a bunch! Here’s a sampling of the issues Paul faced, pressure, unforgiveness, fear,
competence, many tears, sleepless nights… and on and on. Some of these sound pretty relevant, right?
So this series will deal with some of these Issues and how we can gain victory over them.
-
Last Sunday, “Quitting”,
was the third message in the ISSUES series and is from 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
Listen
to Quitting or visit the Relating to His Word page
to get the sermon notes or hear any other sermons.

more info on small groups or starting a small group, contact Pastor

THEODYSSEY
|
- Craig and Ivette Sanborn are our leaders for this journey. For more information on
THEODYSSEY check out the website at www.theodyssey.org
or contact Craig at csanborn@asbuilts.com or Ivette at
isanborn@hotmail.com.
- THEODYSSEY
is a made up word (aren't they all?) derived from the combination of theos, for God, and odyssey, a
wandering and eventful journey. Our mission is to guide you on your own wandering, eventful journey
with God, through the process of spiritual formation, which we define as being conformed to the image
of Jesus for the sake of others. This is an 8-month intensive group, where it is safe to ask tough
questions, and fertile ground on which to grow spiritually. Your field guides will be the Bible and
our unique curriculum, based on ten intimate "conversations" developed for the next generation of
Believers. The questions are probing. No fluff. No sugar coating.

Simple Motherhood Ministry:
|
- Evergreen Valley Church has a new ministry, Simple Motherhood. (Expecting mothers and mothers with children of all ages are included!).
We are meeting this summer, on one Tuesday morning each month.
- The Simple Motherhood monthly meetings are not a bible study, but a place to come and hear biblical
truths from Anne Catrett's life and motherhood experience. She will be sharing more about her life
journey and from the Captivating book over the next several months. But, mostly this is a place for
moms to gather, relax, meet one another, take a break from the never ending "to do list," receive, be
encouraged, be redirected to God (because we're so easily distracted!), and share about our
motherhood journey together.
Also, this is a group for women in various seasons of motherhood, not just in the babyhood/toddler years.
Please contact Anne, annecatrett@hotmaila.com, or Kristi,
kristi@hewitt.net, to get on our mailing list or
if you have further questions.
